SCAIMapper – Kopplung von Umform- und Crashsimulation

In this paper we present a new mapping tool (SCAIMapper) that simplifies the process of mapping forming results to the crash model. The tool assists the user in setting up the mapping by an easy to handle graphical user interface. Several important features are integrated ranging from automatic alignment of the meshes, native support of fully integrated shell elements up to mapping of LS-Dyna history variables. The development is aiming at the automation of the whole mapping procedure.
